Samsung has just announced the ATIV Tab 3, a Windows-based tablet that will have the same slim design as this comapny's Android-based models, as well as the S-Pen stylus.
This device will run the full version of Microsoft Windows 8, not Windows RT. it will be built around an Intel Atom Z2760 processor, with 2GB of RAM.
The ATIV Tab 3 is going to sport a 10.1-inch screen with a 1366 x 768 resolution. It will be just 8.2 mm thick and 19 ozs. (550 grams).
Samsung is promising 8.5 hour of battery life, a difficult accomplishment for a tablet this slim with an Intel Atom processor..
Microsoft Office 2013 will be included for free. And this tablet will come with the note-taking software that comes with its Android tablets that have the S Pen stylus.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 is scheduled for release in August. It will sell for $700 with a keyboard cover.
