Samsung Galaxy S4 mini release date
Samsung's Galaxy S4 mini is nearly here so we've rounded up the Galaxy S4's mini release date, specs and price in the UK. See also: Samsung Galaxy S4 review. Updated on 24/06/13.
In the same way as the Galaxy S3 and its mini version, the Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9190) will be a shrunken version of the Galaxy S4. The device was rumoured prior to the Galaxy S4 launch event but no mention was made by the firm on the day.
After months of speculation and rumours, Samsung has now made the Galaxy S4 mini official. So here's everything you need to know about the Galaxy S4's little brother.
Samsung Galaxy S4 mini: Release date
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S4 mini will launch this summer in June or July following the 26 April release date of its bigger brother. This could be around the same time Apple announces its iPhone 6.
Clove has put the Galaxy S4 mini up for pre-order with an expected date of 'early July'.
We've received an invitation to a Samsung Galaxy and Ativ event which will take place on 20 June in central London. It's here that we will get our hands on the Galaxy S4 mini and try it out for size. Update: Clove has announced that the Galaxy S4 mini will be released on 1 July.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini: Specifications
You can see the photo of the Galaxy S4 mini above and specifications include a 4.3in SuperAMOLED qHD (540 x960) screen that's 0.7in smaller than the Galaxy S4's display which has a Full HD resolution.
Other specifications include a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and Android 4.2.2 with TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0. It's thought that the S4 mini will feature an 8Mp rear facing camera and a 2.1Mp front camera.
As with the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S3 mini, the Galaxy S4 mini looks like quite a downgrade from the flagship version even though it shares the same design. The qHD resolution (540 x 960) means a pixel density of 256ppi compared to 441ppi of the Galaxy S4.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini: Price
There is no official price for the Galaxy S4 mini yet and the information might not even get announced at the Samsung Galaxy event on 20 June. However, like the Galaxy S3 mini we can expect a mid-range price, something along the lines of £300 and above would make sense.
Handtec has a price for the Galaxy S4 mini of £389. It's a pre-order price so it's possible that it could change by the time the phone is released.
Clove has now matched this price by putting the Galaxy S4 mini up for pre-order at £390.
Beyond the Galaxy S4 mini, Samsung has confirmed it is making a smartwatch and rumour has it that the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Tab 3 devices will be revealed in September at IFA.
